Początki jesieni / First signs of autumn

Jesień potrafi zaskakiwać bogactwem kolorów, grą świateł i, jak się okazało w tym roku, również pogodą. Niestety nie miałem okazji doświadczyć w tym roku pełni jesiennych kolorów więc muszę zadowolić się tym, co udało się zaobserwować we wrześniu. Wszystkie zdjęcia wykonałem w okolicach Szczecina we wrześniu.

The autumn can surprise with the variety of colours, nice light and, as it turned out this year, nice weather. Unfortunatelly I couldn't witness full bloom of autumn colours this year so I have to stick to what I was able to observe in September. All the photos were taken near Szczecin in September.

Patyki / The sticks

W te piękne wrześniowe dni nie mogło zabraknąć wizyty na przystani. Jachty jeszcze na wodzie, ale większość zacumowana. Aż proszą się o zdjęcia. Wszystko to oczywiście w Szczecinie.

On those beautiful September days we could not resist visiting marina. Yachts still on the water, but most of the alongside. They scream to be photgraphed. All this in Szczecin of course.

W górze i na ziemii / Up in the sky and down on the ground

Szczecin ma wiele do zaoferowania wbrew obiegowym opiniom. Czas wolny można spędzić na przykład tak jak poniżej. Zdjęcia zostały wykonane podczas jednego z pogodnych dni we wrześniu. Pasjonaci lotnictwa pewnie myśleli, że to ostatnia chwila przed zimą bo jednocześnie w powietrzu były nawet 3 samoloty i kilku skoczków spadochronowych. Można? Można!

Szczecin has a lot to offer against the common opinion that is doesn't. One can spend leisure time as below for instance. The photos were taken during one of the nice weather days in September. Aviation lovers thought it is the last chance to have some fun before winter I assume as there were three airplanes in the air at the same time along with some parachutters. Can we? Yes we can!

Aleja Kwiatów / Flowers Alley

Tym razem pojawi się trochę krytyki. Nie za pomysł, ale za wykonanie i utrzymanie. Idea zagospodarowania tego fragmentu miasta jest bardzo dobra. Rdzennie szczecińska kawiarnia to również dobry pomysł. Nie bardzo jednak rozumiem co mają symbolizować zardzewiałe sześciany służące jako dekoracja. Wiem, że taki właśnie jest trend, ale w tym miejscu chyba nie za bardzo pasuje. Wzdłuż chodnika miała płynąć woda, ale nie płynie lecz wylewa się na boki. No cóż, miejmy nadzieję, że to zostanie poprawione. Miejsce to bardzo dobrze nadaje się do fotografii. "Celując" prosto na zachód daje wspaniałe okazje do uwiecznienia zachodów słońca, a i wieczorem wygląda świetnie.

This time a little bit of criticism. Not for the idea but for execution and maintenance. The idea of arranging this part of the city is very good. Native Szczecinian cafe is good either. Not sure I understand what is the meaning of the rusty squares decorating the alley. I know there is a trend to use rusty steel, but I am not sure it fits well here. There was supposed to be a water stream floating along the pavement, but it doesn't float along but floats out on the sides. Let's hope this can be fixed. This place is really good for photography. Aiming straight to the west it gives nice opportunities for shooting at sunsets and looks good at night too.

Piastów Office Center

Niepozorne budynki w niepozornej lokalizacji, takie jest moje wrażenie na temat tego, co dotychczas udało się zrealizować w tej inwestycji. A jednak mają w sobie urok europejskiego klimatu w czystej formie. Nie są krzykliwe, raczej stonowane, a jednocześnie bardzo nowoczesne. Pozostaje mieć tylko nadzieję, że nie zostaną oklejone tonami reklam. Kolejna dobra robota.

Not very distinctive building in not very disctinctive location - that's my impression on what has been built here so far in this investment. But even though the buildings have the charm of European feeling in pure form. They are on agressive, rather calm but very modern at the same time. What's left is to hope they will not be covered with tons of banners. Another well done job.

Nowa przestrzeń publiczna / New public space

Ostatnie miesiące przyniosły w Szczecinie sporo zmian na lepsze. Oprócz wspomnianej przeze mnie Hali Widowiskowo Sportowej przybyło nam coś jeszcze. I to z jaką klasą. Mowa o nowej Filharmonii Szczecińskiej, która mimo wielu kontrowersji, stanowi od niedawna symbol naszego miasta. I dobrze. Ja osobiście jestem wielkim zwolennikiem zarówno pomysłu nowego gmachu jak i jego wykonania. Poniższe zdjęcia należy traktować jako zwiastun, nie starczyło mi czasu na dokładniejsze zapoznanie się z budynkiem. Z pewnością do niego powrócę. Doskonałym uzupełnieniem fenomenu Filharmonii jest Plac Solidarności, z nie otwartym jeszcze muzeum. I choć pojawiają się pierwsze uwagi, że światła nie świecą jak powinny, że barierki są tam gdzie nie trzeba, to jednak jest to kawał dobrej roboty i wygląda wspaniale. Zdjęcia przedstawiają lobby Filharmonii Szczecińskiej oraz panoramę Placu Solidarności.

Previous months have brought us lots of changes for better in Szczecin. Besides previously mentioned Szczecin Arena we have acuired something else. And look at the class. I am talking about new Szczecin Philharmony that, apart from many controversies, became a symbol of our city. That's good. I personally am a great supporter fro both the idea of new building and the result. Below photos are just teasers, I had no time to familiarise myself with the building in details. I will get back to that for sure. There is also a fantastic fill to the phenomenon of the Philharmony. It is the Solidarity Square with still not open museum. Despite all the critics stating that the lights are not working as they supposed, that barriers are in the wrong place, it is a well done job and looks great. Nad morzem / By the sea

Ostatnie chwile lata złapane w kadrze we wrześniowy weekend nad morzem. Pogoda w tym roku dopisała, oby zima też była prawdziwą zimą. Zdjęcia zostały zrobione w Świnoujściu przy "wiatraku" oraz na plaży tuż po zachodzie słońca. Łabędzie były wyjątkowo przyjazne. Dzieci też.

Last moments of summer shot in September weekend by the sea. The weather this year was generous, I hope the winter will be a proper one. The photographs were taken in Świnoujście near "windmill" and on the beach right after the sunset. Swans were exceptionaly friendly. So were the kids.
