Zeller See jeszcze raz / Zeller See once again

Jakoś nie mogę przestać podziwiać tych krajobrazów... szkoda, że tylko na zdjęciach.

Somehow I can't stop adimiring those landscapes... pity it's just on the pictures.

Motoryzacja w wersji austraickiej / Motoring Austrian way

Zamiłowanie niektórych narodów do motoryzacji jest godne podziwu. Wszyscy wiemy o modzie na stare auta w Skandynawii czy Niemczech. Wielka Brytania też kocha stare samochody, choć są to głównie rodzime produkcje. Po Austrii się tego nie spodziewałem, zwłaszcza, że przemysł motoryzacyjny w tym kraju prawie nie istnieje. A jednak... Mają muzea samochodów w najmniej spodziewanych miejscach, a i na ulicach można spotkać czasem ciekawe pojazdy. Prezentowane zabytki wjechały na wyskość ponad 2500 m nad poziomem morza o własnych siłach. To dopiero budzi szacunek.

Some nations' passion for cars is well admirable. We all know how popular old cars are in Scandinavia or Germany. Even Britain loves old cars, mostly their own. I didn't expect that in Austria, especially that their motoring industry is not existing. But... they have cars museum in the least expected places and some unsual cars can be seen on the streets. The vintage vehicles presented climbed to over 2500 m above sea level on their own. Great respect.

Zimowa sceneria w środku lata / Winter scenery in mid summer

Zimowa sceneria i letnie słońce wystarczą żeby zdjęcia "robiły się same". Ostre słońce może czasami być przeszkodą, ale o tej porze roku jest dość wysoko i nie przeszkadza aż tak bardzo. Zdjęcia wykonane zostały przy użyciu dwóch różnych aparatów... co więcej, dwóch różnych fotografów, podczas zdobywania Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse w czerwcu. Pierwsze zdjęcie autorstwa Ani, drugie moje.

Winter scenery and summer sun are enough to allow pictures to "take themselves". Sharp sun may sometimes be a problem, but at this time of year it is quite high, so the problem is not major. The shots were taken by two dufferent cameras... and two different photographers while challengig Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse in June. The firs one was taken by Ania, the second by me.

Czasem gorzej znaczy lepiej / Sometimes worse means better

Klasyczny przykład. Jedziemy na wakacje. Po drodze pogoda super. Pierwszego dnia jesteśmy zbyt zmęczeni na zwiedzanie i zostajemy na miejscu... a następnego dnia leje. Do wybrou pozostaje hotel i czekanie na pogodę lub wyjazd na rozpoznanie terenu. Wybraliśmy to drugie... na szczęście. Po południu trochę przestało padać i można było zrobić kilka fotek. Następne dni były słoneczne :)

Classic. We go for holiday. On the way the weather is superb. First day after arrival we are to tired to do any sightseeing so we stay on the spot... and next day it's raining. Two choices, stay in the hotel or go for recon. We chose the latter... luckily. In the afternoon it stopped raining and there was chance for few shots. Next day were sunny :)
On the first picutre there is Zeller See with Kitzsteinhorn galcier chain covered with clouds.
The second picture shows Grand Hotel in Zell an See seen from the lake.

Czasem coś wygląda lepiej w zbliżeniu, czasem lepiej po zdjęciu pokryw... techniczna pornografia jest super!

Cuda architektury / Architectural marvels

BMW Welt to niewątpliwie gratka dla każdego fana motoryzacji. To miejsce, które każdy fan czterech kółek musi odwiedzić. Kompleks mieści fabrykę BMW, w której można obserwować cały proces produkcji, wystawy najnowszych modeli BMW, Mini i Rolls Royce, sklepy, restauracje i... plac zabaw dla dzieci. Najważniejsze dla mnie było jednak muzeum (efekty wizyty w kolejnym poście). BMW Welt to też piękny, nowoczesny budynek. Radość dla oka każdego miłośnika architektury.

BMW Welt is undoubtly something big for every cars fan. It is the place that has to be visited by any car enthusiast. The complex comprises of factory that allows people to witness production cycle, modern BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce cars exhibit, shops, restaurants and... playground for kids. The most important for me is the museum (the results of visit will follow). BMW Welt is also beautiful, modern building. Joy for every architecture fan.
